Our Veterinarians
Dr. Rice no longer practices large animal medicine and focuses all his attention on our small four legged friends in the community. He enjoys both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, as well, as the challenges of general medicine. In addition to his “day job,” Dr. Rice is also involved in the community, previously as a member of the county’s Animal Control Commission, and currently as a founding board member of the Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s County in Queenstown. Outside of his professional and community involvements, he enjoys all the outdoor activities the Queen Anne’s county and the Chesapeake Bay have to offer. He especially enjoys spending time with his family and following the activities of his sons.

Julie's career took a unique turn when she moved overseas for 13 years, during that time she had three children. Now residing in Centreville with her husband, three children, two dogs, and a cat, Julie continues to blend her love for animals with her community involvement. When she's not at the clinic, Julie can often be found in the classroom as a substitute teacher. She enjoys incorporating her extensive knowledge of pet care into her teaching, enriching her students' education with her expertise and passion for animals.
